Why Choose Cotswold Flow Screed?

Sustainability, speed & safety advantages

Our anhydrite mix uses up to 36 % recycled binder and pours from just 30 mm deep, slashing raw material use. Pump-placing up to 1 000 m² a day halves site traffic compared with wheel-barrowed sand-cement screed, and every pour achieves SR2 surface regularity—≤ 5 mm deviation over 2 m—for a finish your tiler will thank you for. CSCS-qualified crews follow HSE best practice, leaving sites clean, safe and ready for the next trade.

Certified mixes & UFH collaboration

We are approved installers of Gyvlon® Anhydrite Liquid Screed and Cemfloor® Cementitious Liquid Screed, supplied fresh by our batching partner Flowmix—whose Gloucestershire and Walsall plants dispatch screed across the region every day. If you also need radiant heating, our sister company Underfloor Heating Technologies (UFHT) designs and fits wet-UFH systems, so one coordinated team can handle pipes, manifolds and screed from start to finish

Oxfordshire reach & flexible scheduling

From our headquarters in Evesham we’re on the A44 and down the A34 to Oxford in under an hour, so Cowley extensions, Jericho lofts and Headington new-builds all fit neatly into our daily route. We already serve Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire, giving us the crews, pumps and batching slots to book your pour within a fortnight

Our Liquid Screed Process

1. Consultation & substrate readiness
plus icon

Your dedicated project manager visits to confirm insulation layout, movement joints, vapour barriers and access for the pump hose. If you need edge strip, DPM or primer we can supply and fit as part of a turnkey package.

2. Precision pump pour & laser checks
plus icon

On pour day a Flowmix truck backs up, our high-output pump feeds the liquid screed through antistatic hose to the slab, and the mix self-compacts. We dapple to release air, then laser-check depths every 20 m² so you get the flatness spec you paid for.

3. Controlled cure, moisture testing & sanding
plus icon

You can walk on the floor in 24–48 hours and bring plasterboard on site after a week. Once laitance appears we sand and vacuum to create a perfect key. Before hand-over we carry out carbide-bomb or in-situ RH tests so flooring installers have a moisture certificate in hand.

FAQ's

How soon can you pour after I accept the quote?
plus icon

Once our readiness survey is signed off, we typically schedule your Oxford pour within two weeks, subject to batching slots. This is a very rough estimate, please contact us for a more accurate estimation.

Is liquid screed suitable over existing concrete?
plus icon

Yes. We prime the slab and pour a bonded (≥ 25 mm) or unbonded (≥ 30 mm) layer depending on load class and final finish.

Will the screed crack?
plus icon

Gyvlon’s low-shrinkage formulation plus correctly placed movement joints make cracking rare. We advise joint spacing of about 40 × screed depth in millimetres.

When can I commission the underfloor heating?
plus icon

UFH loops can usually start a controlled heat-up seven days after pour; we supply a step-by-step protocol.

 Do I need laitance removal?
plus icon

Light sanding 7–10 days after pouring removes laitance and optimises adhesive bond strength—highly recommended.

How do I know the floor is dry enough for timber?
plus icon

We carry out carbide-bomb or RH probe tests and issue a moisture report; timber manufacturers typically require ≤ 75 % RH or ≤ 0.5 % CM.
